We would suggest you to create your ground in the Southern waters of this biome. Unlike other places, this place does not have dangerous monsters. This exquisite and secure biome is an excellent establishment to set your base filled with resources like Lithium, Titanium, and Silver. Going around the new biomes really reminds me a lot of Avatar: The Way of Water and aaah it's awesome.Īll in all, I expected them to be like "Subnautica: 10/10", and "BZ: 6/10 at most", but so far, I really love it.The second best place to build your base is around the Twisty Bridges biome. In BZ, sapphire blue is very common and I love it. The only places that are truly sapphire blue are the void ("blue" means "run for your life"), and just around the floating island. which is easier 1) install a map mod or 2) for 'real subnauticans' to just not use the map like some survivalist starting a fire with sticks next to a 7-11. if theres a mod for something, that means the game lacks something that players want and use. Most of the water in the original game was turquoise, green, or some other more bland color typical of shallower waters. Nazis play a stoner game like subnautica too. Probably my mood at the time had a lot to do with it, because the reaper is A+++++ for fear factor and I love them. Second time I was grabbed by a reaper, I laughed internally at "haha, he's tossing my seamoth around like dog toy". The reaper in all honor, but the chelicerate still scared me so much that during the second attack, I seriously shut off the sound and covered my eyes when I realized it would catch me. Now, the main reason I decided to get BZ (besides wanting to know and not have to avoid spoilers), is because I'm an avid fan of speculative evolution/alien creature design (for some 13+ years), and ohmigod these creatures are so much better. Good on the devs - not just the same game in a different place. but it really grew on me, I don't like it more or less than Riley's silence, it's just a different game. The character talking and all that was weird to me at first. The Alien Base is in the NORTH part which there is no map for it. It's smaller (I guess, I have only found the dropoff once so far), but not that small. That map is for the Frozen Leviathan and The Antidote, part of the Robin Story branch which concern only the SOUTH of the frozen land biome. Map tiny? I had heard it was like two or three original Subnautica biomes, "and that's it", but I can't see this at all. I got BZ recently, am early into the game (gone through the starter biomes and constantly finding new stuff, a couple of important things have happened), and I can honestly say I like it more so far than the original, or at least just as much. I saw a lot of "lukewarm" reviews of BZ, not the least here, and the consensus seems to be that it's "meh" compared to the original, the map is teeny, and "I guess you can play it just to have done it". Finished-ish with my second playthrough, and it's of course fantastic.
